Hey Bob/Steve, Especially Steve, You only want to shave the "bottom" side of
that float collar. You do not need to cut all the way around the pin, just
enough of that float so you can then cut a small groove in the pin which allows
you to push that pin out with a "pointer tool". Don't know the name of these
tools cause I've had them for so long, but they come in various shapes...hooked,
straight, weird ass angles...all with very sharp points on the end. Use one
of these in the groove you have made in the pin along with PB Blaster, Carb
Cleaner, Heat, Whiskey, Beer, and the smoke of your choice. You should probably
leave the sledge hammers in the tool box. Cheers, lot of luck, Brett
