It seems the majority of Loops having clutch problems have five speed
transmissions. Why is this? Eldo riders must be hard on equipment! :-) I
have all the bills from new for my '69 Ambo and it's never had a clutch
or u-joint, but feels like it may be needing both soon. Guess you can't
really expect more than 78,000 miles from each. I have a set of NOS
clutch plates (which appear to be both bonded and riveted?) that will go
in when the time comes. Don't feel the need to upgrade to a RAM here.
