John,
As a matter of additional info on these muffs.......if you know that they
were a recent purchase, say within the last 5 years or so, then they are
probably Valtek's. However, as I recall, those Valtek's were copies of a
muff made by a company by the name of Ramflo, who made a stainless steel
muffler of that design. My recollection is that Ramflo was located in
Ohio, and they had a fire in their facility a number of years ago and
afterwards just closed up shop. Guys like Jack Arnold will remember all
this. So, long story short, if these muffs are older, they could be Ramflo.
If they are recent vintage, they are probably Valtek.

Keith and Joe:
Thanks, it's nice to know what they are and especially that they're
not cheap, since I didn't have to pay for them (well, the whole bike
cost me a grand before restoration). If I had to buy some I'd probably
go with the same ones, though. They do sound great, seem to flow well
and aren't rusted out from sitting for several years.

I'll confirm, Valtek mufflers, sold by Harpers, uncheap.

Nothing like Dunstalls, which were megaphone.

John,

The mufflers look to me like the ones I had on Patience. I bought them
from Harpers, they were Valteks. Sounded great.

The mufflers on my '71 Ambo are originals, they weren't in bad
