Hey Skip,
I would think that a windage plate (ala Pete Roper) would help keep the
frothing down, perhaps eliminating your problem.
http://www.guzzitech.dk/english/go under "Technical" in the left nav
and then select "The complex stuff" - you'll see windage plates on that
page.
I'm not sure what you'll have to do to make it work with the bub oil
pan, but I would think it is doable.

I do alot of high speed roadwork on my eldo. 80 mph for long periods of time, and after a long hard ride there is quite a lot of oil residue on the bottom of the trans and lower frame where the breather tube is. I am running a cali 2 (1000cc) motor with a bub wedge oil pan. I run 3.25 qts of 20/50 and have a new breather box. I tried to fit a Agostini breather box on it but with the duel coils, large distributor, & later carbs, there was no clearance to mount it. I know some of the newer bikes use the frame as a breather, but I really dont want to drill holes in my frame. I have not checked the engine compression, but I do not think I am getting blow by in the crank case. I dont think I am losing alot of oil, it is just a mess Does anyone have any ideas ? |
