Patrick,
I'm not referring to the small plug, as you described, but the larger
filler plugs. I have three. One came off the crankcase, one from the
tranny, the other from the rear drive. One has a hole, like the smaller
shift drum plug. Did that come from the tranny or rear drive? I can't
imagine it on the motor.

Likely that is the plug on the left side of the transmission that holds the spring and detent for the shifter drum. That plug has a hole to act as a transmission breather. Mine always puked so I modified the right side plug to add a real breather. Stopped the oil drip. Patrick |
