Didn't Bates also make surfboards??? The set I have mounted now were
advertised as Bates. The set of DB's I've sold were larger, had better
cast mounting tabs which have a slot cut in the middle.
The smaller ones I use have no slot in the mounting tabs and a little
different front mounting system. These could well be a first series
model, look like a high school casting class project from the backside.
Could be DB privated labeled them for Bates to sell also?
