Typical computer translator error. In English, the word "right" has several
meanings based on context. It can be the right side as opposed to left. Or
it can be a (as in your question) correct response as opposed to incorrect.
The computer translator does NOT know the contextual difference. So, when you
said "Did I get it right"? You meant "correct" and the computer thought you
meant direction. In Italian, DESTRA has no relationship to correctness at all,
only left and right direction. The better translation might be "L'ho ottenuto
corregge?" meaning correct without regard to direction. I have a good
software translator on my PC, but it always has to be run with a jaundiced eye and
a skeptical coaching.
