thanks. I know about the staggered rings, but I feel I might be missing
something top secret because I can't read the directions. Some other
folks have suggested it is probably something very obvious. If I find
out, I'll certainly pass it on. Another listmember has offered to try to

crack it for me.

I was in the same boat with the Gilardoni's--couldn't get the
instructions translated.

But I put in the rings according to directions I found elsewhere,
probably in Guzziology, staggering the gaps. I can't remember which
ring goes where, but I could probably find that info if you can't.

I used a dry base gasket. Nothing tricky for the installation, but you
do need to get head gaskets with oblong holes for the pushrods.
