Richard,
thanks. I know about the staggered rings, but I feel I might be missing
something top secret because I can't read the directions. Some other
folks have suggested it is probably something very obvious. If I find
out, I'll certainly pass it on. Another listmember has offered to try to
crack it for me.

could this be another reminder not to ride after dark, like Mr.
Lucas suggested for the Brit bikes?

Hi,
My new gilardoni (hey, did I get it right?) jugs and pistonis have
arrived. There is a piece of paper in the box that says "Importanti!"
but of course not being bilingual, except semi-fluent in ig-pay
atin-lay, I can't decipher the damn thing.
I was in the same boat with the Gilardoni's--couldn't get the
instructions translated.
But I put in the rings according to directions I found elsewhere,
probably in Guzziology, staggering the gaps. I can't remember which
ring goes where, but I could probably find that info if you can't.
I used a dry base gasket. Nothing tricky for the installation, but you
do need to get head gaskets with oblong holes for the pushrods.
