A month or so ago my cleaning lady's husband GAVE me a complete rustbucket
Guzzi...left valve cover off (apparently in the rain at times) for over 10
years....I love it. Was a bit odd when I removed motor drain plug and watched what
looked like a few quarts of water come out before the liquid turned
black....OK there was some oil in there also!! Anyway, got a couple of questions for the
group...excuse my lack of MG knowledge at this point..but, the bike was
manufactured 10/71, has a four speed transmission and the "waffle" type engine
block. Is this an Ambassador or an Eldorado? What is the difference between the
two? Also, I have the whole bike stripped down to front wheel still on the
frame/swingarm with bottom end and tranny still on. Am still waiting for shop
manual....Have swingarm to the point of exposing the two "axles" with the two small
holes exposed. How do these come out? Special tool required? Thanks to
all....Brett in Indiana
