Thanks for the info guys. I will try it both ways while keeping an eye on the valves. I just installed a pair of new jugs and pistons so I will be in the engine a couple of times to torque the head bolts. how many miles does it take to break in the niskel cylinders?

Hi Allan
Don't use tighter settings. Chances are burnt valves. The workshop manual for Eldorado and police models says: Normal rocker clearence (cold engine): - inlet 0.15mm - outlet 0.25mm
It's the same on my Ambo. I've just adjusted mine, and the PO had them set far to tight, the bike was running very bad unless it ran with
choke
lever activated all the time. Now it's running smoothly as its
supposed
to.
Kind regards Helge H.

What is the valve lash for an eldorado, the Chiltons says .15mm
