I dont have much experirnce here, but i have read where the Gen needs to be
"polarized" when reinstalling otherwise it wont charge.
I dont know the procedure but I read it on the list here and it soonded
pretty straight forward.
Alternativly, you can visit a local automotive electrical shop and ask them
how to polarize it
