at the shop I worked at we would clean the tank by putting some medium
sized nuts and bolts in with a little ghas and slide the nuts and bolts back
and fourth along all the surfaces. Then drain the gas into a clear container.
repeat this until the return is clear. then run fresh filters. Nuts and bolts
are removed by shaking the tank upside down and/or a magnetic pick-up tool.
Count the nuts etc. to make sure you get them all out. The splash collar at
the neck of the loop tanks is the biggest problem. Greg
