If the top of the pin was flush with the top of the hole then I can see how once put into the engine it wouldn't budge, but since there is a gap the pin has room to work it's way up and out until it hits the case. Granted a new pin is longer then mine now but why the lips? Cause if it is supposed to be flush with the case the lips wouldn't meet and there should be no reason for them to be there. Kev |
I don't believe that part is there to any way keep the flange and
bearing indexed. The interference fit does that. I think it's just a
restriction on the oil flow. As to why is is able to move, you'll have
to ask Luigi, but every one I have been in is the same.
