By "pin" do you mean the hollow steel tube that slides in the drilling
in the flange and bearing? It has a wider part at the top and that's
what keeps it from dropping closer to the crank. They usually fall
right out, and are held in place when the flange is inserted in the
crank case.
You can buy undersized bearings, but they come with the flange and are
$$. If you are lucky the crank may just need a polish.

Question Time: 1) What is used to hold the pin in place? Locktite, Interference fit?(hope not 'cause it ain't no interference fit anymore) 2) Just how pricy is the rr main. I know it can't be cheep. That thing is huge! 3) Are the oversized bearings, oversized in the Id and OD. Meaning if I need to clean up the flange and crank, can I find a bearing to fit? 4) Good idea to use perminate locktite between the flange and OD of the bearing? 5) How much for a pin? |
