The point gap will affect the ignition timing. If you have altered the
point gap you should reset the timing. With all the woek going on you
may have moved the throttle cables to the point where you have lost the
freeplay at idle ,better check that as well .

I take mine anywhere without worrying WITHOUT disc brakes ! But then
again I never worried on ANY bike ,even the BRIT bikes with LUCAS
electrics !And they NEVER let me down.At least since 1966 !
