Haven't worked with a sleeved one yet. Must be why it's foreign to me.
Thanks for the info, will be nice to know what I'm looking at if (when) I
come across it.

They are very tiny bumps inside the ring grooves. Hard to
see. On my bike, the top ring has one at about 11:00 and
the lower ring has one at about 5:00. Like I noted in my
reply to GH, these are out of a G-5 or CX-100. If you
have an older, iron sleeved 949 conversion, you may likely
have these. A couple of guys told me this is how many 949
conversions were done in years back. Sleeve the stock
cylinders and use 88mm pistons from a G or CX.

Yeah, I never seen as much. You got my curiosity peaked. Granted, Ambos have different pistons, but I never heard of pins for rings, for anything. Don't remember anything like that on my pals 74 either. Does this have something to do with sleeved cylinders? I'm I out of date, or not up to date? How's it set up? Where are the pins located? For all the rings? I can't picture it. Please.... send..... more.... info...
