Interesting. I know I've never seen it. Now, when I do, it won't be a "what
the &%#$?!?!!" situation. Thanks for the info.

kevin. don't know about the guzzis and the pinned rings, but that is
something the the Hudson and Terraplane cars used for years. there is a pin
that comes from the top of the piston through the piston grooves that keeps
the rings from moving around the piston. the rings have a arc cut in each
end of the piston [gap end] If one is not careful the rings will ride on
top of the pin and when one tries to install the pistons in the cyl they
break. you have to be real carefun when installing them and you have to ck
the ring gap with the rings installed in the cyl. [ one at a time] hope
this sheads some lite on the subject. [[[[[[kelly]]]]] dallas county hudson

Yeah, I never seen as much. You got my curiosity peaked. Granted, Ambos |
different pistons, but I never heard of pins for rings, for anything. |
remember anything like that on my pals 74 either. Does this have something to do with sleeved cylinders? I'm I out of date, or not up to date? How's it set up? Where are the pins located? For all the rings? I can't picture it. Please.... send..... more.... info...
