Correction, the breather hole is in shifter detent plunger cap, not the
neutral switch. Yes, you can tap the plunger cap, add a nipple and run a
breather line up under the tank. I did it on my bike and even put a
little expansion tank up in the frame. Works great. As far as the
leaking neutral switch goes, its probably the only place on the bike
where a bit of silico-glop wouldn't hurt.

PS. dont block that hole in the neutral switch, It acts as a vent for the trans. there's an update on this as well, haven't done it myself, not yet at least, been planning on it. It involves drilling and tapping a larger hole in the sensor, installing a nipple for a hose, installing the hose, and routing it up. Maybe someone else can fill in the blanks for you(us). |
