I did the o ring fix last summer. Easy as pie with the tranny out. Not
so easy with it in place. Basically 6 o-ringsput them on the end of the
pushrod and slowly feed the whole works in. no leak since. However it
could be the input shaft seal. That requires opening the box of fiddly
bits.
Oh and MI will send the page from guzziology that gives instruction how
to do the job along with the bits. They do that with everything like
that they sell. Pretty cool.
MI is Moto International. They have a fix for leaks at the clutch
pushrod. Leaks to the rear of the tranny are different. That's probably
a leak from the throwout bearing watchamacallit. MI has an oring fix for
that, too.
Last question, where can I buy that "3M oil absorbent batting (it's really the same as Thinsulate)", I had asked the local Auto parts store and they looked at me like I had 3 heads. |
