Did you replace the pads on your brakes?
Yep, all new from Slater.
For that matter, do you have the calipers shimmed properly?
Well, I thought I did (grin). I used the same shims top and bottom and
the disk is centered on the caliper split. The disk shows signs of
contact dead center on both sides so I remain optimistic.
Fortunately, the PO had included two new sets of EBC FA-18 pads with the
bike.
How do you like those? I am running a single disk with the stock 14MM
pump and it is, um, firm. Pads with more initial bite would be welcome.
Glad to hear that your starter is working,
Rebuilt in Eldorado Illinois believe it or not.
but it sounds like the either the transmission input hub or theflywheel is worn,
All brand new from Manfred Hecht's Brooklyn Batcave. I think the plates
are new and grabby. Also, I am accustomed to my nicely broken in Jackal
dry clutch. I will adjust the cable and wait and see.
It rained today, otherwise I would be out riding around in circles. I
am going to keep close to home for a while so the push back will be
short.
