CEV is shit. Complete and total shit. I removed them and mashed them
into unrecognizable lumps with a hammer so no one would ever mistake
them for working items ever again. Cheap tin boxes with cheaper
components.

I agree. I threw mine away and use nothing. I have no turn signals and
my low beam is good enough. If it burns out I just pull the headlight
out of the shell and plug in the high beam wire. Don't care about a horn
either.
