well.. no wiring wizard here... I skipped the tray all together and took
the negative lead from the battery straight to one of the transmission
nuts precisely because of tray paint issue. This was last summer... did
I compromise some sort of necessary sheetmetal ground? Bill

whatever. it depends how you do it. don't forget to clear paint from around bolt that fixes battery tray to frame and any other earth points too. the idea is to get a connection from battery to starter motor that will take a high amperage. cookie |
