Charlie,
Been wondering about these wheel bearings ever since I got my Ambo 1 year
ago.
When you take the wheel off the bearings dont move. I mean the inner and
outer race dont move relative to each other. Then I heard that the axial
force applied when you tighten up the axle nut takes a pre load off the
bearing and the bearing work as a normal wheel bearing does.
I have a set of seals I got from Mark but I have not yet pried the old ones
off to apply fresh grease.
Is there anything I need to be careful of when greasing these bearings?
Also what do you mean by shimming them? I know what shimming means but, How
do I know when these bearing are shimmed correctly??
Thanks
