Hi Paul,
Moto International offers a bearings and seals kit to do one wheel for $50. From
what it says in Guzziology, the kit consists of bearings, spacer, sleeves and
seals - it's probably cheaper than what the original bearings alone would be if
they were available. The originals have been unavailable for some time but I
managed to find two from a dealer that gave up his Guzzi franchise in the early
80's. Look around, you might get lucky! The good news is, if kept properly
greased and shimmed the originals will last almost forever.
The steering head bearings are available from any bearing supply house as #30205
for about 1/4th the price of buying them from Guzzi. Cheers,
Charlie

Last week someone posted about wheel bearings not being available for the loops. That got me thinking that its been about seven years since I repacked mine. Is that the case that they aren't available and if so what to do about it? Also does anyone have a interchange number for the steering head bearings? The stering was a little rough last season, might as well do them now. Paul |
