Because I used the hooks one the outside of the battery tray, I put hard
seat foam (1"thick) in between the shaft of the hook and the side of the
battery. Not underneath.

OK, actually went to the auto store here and got a plastic thing that is
in
two pieces which makes it adjustable. It goes across the top of the
battery
and has the two holes you mentioned; and then I got some 8" j-hooks.
I'll
slap it on there sometime this week and then report back. I'm going to
try
to find some rubber mat thing to put under the battery to stop sliding
further - that's a good idea. thanks, Bob
