Hey Rich,
I was looking at Arai and Shoei lids too . The AGV ad caught my eye and
I tried one. They are GREAT.I ride without a windshield and The wind
buffeting is near zero. The helmet is a triple composite of lightweight
construction. They are made in Italy and the finish is first rate.
I got a deal on one from their website. You may want to get a size
larger than usual as they do come out a bit on the small side.

So my wife gave me a go out and buy a new helmet certificate for Christmas. My old Shoei is probably 15 years old (yea, I know but I've got about 4 of them that old). Anyway I don't keep up on things like what is current in the helmet world, so I'll ask you guys. Anyone have a favorite at the moment? I like the idea of the Nolan with the flip up chinguard so I don't need to take my glasses off to get it on and off. Just need your basic solid black no thrills well fitting helmet. I tried a couple of Arai on today and Quantum and Signet and they felt pretty good. But any experiences with wind noise, fit and such would be helpful Thanks for any kind of response, Rich |
