Hey Cuz,
Thanks!! I'll be sure to mention your name. The last two times I went
through I said I knew you and they didn't even ask for ID :-)
About tieing off......I have seen guys drive past with the bikes held by
only two straps running forward. I intend to double up just in case a
squirrel gets in and chews one of the straps :-)
Ian

ian- howdy cousin! :>) i have 4 tiedown loops in my trucks, 2 in front of the wheelwells, and 2 behind. the real deal is not to use elcheapo straps. the 1st bike goes in, to the left. ratchet it down to where the forks are 3/4 compressed. the 2nd bike goes in backwards, of course to the rt. same deal on the fork compression. i did this and went 85-90 mph for 2 days- the bikes stayed right there! and of course, yours will behave VERY well, as they know very well that they are going to a hospitable environment! [mine were'nt so sure- NY has a negitive rep.] :>) don't forget to tell Paul [the borderguy] that you&me are COUSINS! he will bow down, and pass ya thru, again. later on, andy |
