Gents,
In a recent thread I asked about Loop reliability and the discussion, for me, was great. Feedback was excellent. Seems like part of Loop reliability is that we are riding 30+ year old bikes and we must be reasonable about the parts that may fail.
Dave Otis wrote an e-mail stating what he carries with him in an eventuality ----

I carry a kit with plugs,
points, condenser, fuel screens, a few extra carb parts, fuel line and misc
nuts and bolts for emergency situations.

This seems reasonable and I have heard of guys carrying similar parts on much newer bikes.
Just wondering if anyone else carrys anything else. I have heard of guys carrying u-joints (parts book names it a "double joint") and other guys say that if you don't horse the clutch you won't break your u-joint. Just wondering about other parts that may be weak.
Thanks and Merry Christmas to all. Bob Hawkes
