It apparently, was not uncommon for the Guzzi factory
to title mid to late year production bikes as the next
year up even though they were prior year models. I
personally have owned two 1973 Eldo's titled as 1974
models. Of course, 1974 models had the front disc
brake. Neither of my bikes had the juice brake. Both
had the amal carbs. Del Orto was on strike in mid 1973
so they used amals on that production run.
