It apparently, was not uncommon for the Guzzi factory to title mid to late year production bikes as the next year up even though they were prior year models. I personally have owned two 1973 Eldo's titled as 1974 models. Of course, 1974 models had the front disc brake. Neither of my bikes had the juice brake. Both had the amal carbs. Del Orto was on strike in mid 1973 so they used amals on that production run.

Hey David, What's it like to ride the Loop in NYC. Manhattan has some of the worst streets for driving I have ever been on and therefore challenging! The Missus and I used to live in Chinatown on Kenmare street, off Delancy. Did you ever take the Loop way downtown on a quiet Sunday morning for a ride?
