Thanx for the info. Got in touch with Moe at Cycle Garden (no answer at
MG Classics), he gave me the fluid info and measurements. He thinks
that perhaps the regulator is bad - am having the mechanic check it out.
Strange thing is he can polarize the generator, get the light to go
out, rev the engine and all is fine. UNTIL he gets off the throttle and
lets the engine idle, then the light comes back on, and revving the
engine again does not turn off the gen light.
As for the fork oil change, where is the drain plug/bolt? Mechanic
looked and didn't see anything on the bottom of the fork. Is it safe to
say that the fill point is under my police dash?
Thanx.

Keith. Tranny uses 90 wt. and fills from the top. Three bolts, one on the bottom to drain bad oil out, one on the side to tell when there is enough oil being poured in and one on the top to pour oil into the tranny. Pretty straight forward. Beware that you do not overtighten the drain plug as it does strip easily.
