Not a name the provokes happy serine pictures in the minds eye. Never had a problem with it, of coarse I use a lite layer, if need |
but I agree that nothing should be used on paper gaskets. To me it beats |
that would do the same thing. If you could post that number it would be cool. On the subject of Gasket sealers: In it's country of origin, Hylomar (& |
of it's ilk) is known as "blue death" 'cos of it's habit of letting excess congealed gloop inside engine come adrift & block oilways causing engine failure. Nasty. The only type of sealer I use is the sort (anaerobic?) that remains liquid until cut off from air, so excess doesn't go solid & float round engine. Loctite make some, but it's hard to find. If anyone cares I'll find the number off my tube. It's also a much better sealer tham Hylomar. Oh, and |
bodgy blue lines round the outside of joints too. That said you shouldn't need any around timing case gasket. cookie ----- Original Message ----- From: doug <dlin-@neo.rr.com> To: <Loopfram-@topica.com> Sent: Thursday, August 23, 2001 3:18 AM Subject: cylinders/piston
