Cleaned it once a couple of years ago, but didn't lube it or
anything...guess I'll clean it again. Thankfully it's not hard to do.

Chris,
Check your tinder-box. Switch gear in there needs to be clean and bright
and bone dry. I use rubbing alcohol to clean the grease off the contacts,
then spray electric contact cleaner in there and allow to dry off,
Brighten
up any worn areas with fine emory paper and blow dry again. Very tiny
amount of fine grease or Vasaline on contact points.
Best, Bob Hawkes 69 Ambo (that runs great now!)

Did ya try violence? Sometimes that works....beat the shit out of it
and
see if it works then. If not you'll at least feel better! ;-)
My headlight went off while riding a few weeks ago. Smacked the crap
out
of
it going down the road and it came back on. Searched wiring for 2 hours
afterwards and could find anything wrong. Hope it don't happen again!!
At
least I don't ride at night. Guess a rewiring is in the plans for this
winter.

Well, I poked, sanded, cleaned, sprayed, and even talked nicely to the
Marelli regulator from my '69 Ambo and it's still dead as the
proverbial

 doornail.
Anybody gots one they want to get off of? Gotta be a Marelli, Bosch
won't work.
Thanks,
John Prusnek
