Has anyone installed a 1000cc Convert (76 era) engine into an Eldo frame? |
Yep, there's one in mine
I want to use the Eldo tranny, clutch, flywheel and rear end with the 1000 cc engine. |
I used an SP 1000 motor with an Eldo 5-speed there are no differences
that I noted.
Will the convert starter work with the eldo flywheel and ring gear? |
I think not, I used a refurbished Eldo starter.
Will the tranny bolt up to the 1000 cc engine? |
It will to the 5-speed motors I don't know that much about converts.
Any other obstacles you can point out would be great too, thanks! |
The alternator big twins had different front motor mounts and require
welding on the frame. To put in the generator takes a small amount of
drilling and tapping on the top of the motor plus a little adaptor made
by Teo Lamers and sold in the states by Moto Int.
I had fun putting mine together and would do it all over again if I was
doing a loopframe.
