If you want one ASAP, call Moe at Cycle Garden (www.cyclegarden.com), he
has rebuilts ones in stock, Bosch or Marelli, think they are $125 with
trade.

I believed him at first and thought I would have to buy another one. Then I went home and put it on the bench. A day later I had a working starter. Hey, you can still call Mark and buy a good starter from him but if you want send me yours and let me take a crack at it. If I don't fix it you lose nothing but postage. If I do fix it I learn more and you get a good starter as a spare.
