I don't know if a beetle generator will work, but a Fastback or Square back
genny will with slight mods. Someone on this list has a page that describes
the mods in great detail, but I can't remember who.

They use a Lucas brand regulator which might work. I am going to go to the Guzzi dealer here and see what he has today other than the $110 new GUzzi regulator. Will also take the regulator to an auto parts store to see if they have a similar looking regulator. Also, I think I need a new generator as I think this one is beat. I am beginning to figure that if I change out generator and regulator combined with me just refurbishing the starter I ought to have a more reliable bike. Man, this process sure is time consuming!
