| I replaced the air cleaner and rubber connecting sleeve on the Eldo and was looking at how the rubber sleave fits on the air box cover......my Eldo did not have the original installed when I bought it. Does the rubber sleeve fit over the box cover opening , or is it supposed to be seated on the inside of the cover? It sure doesn't look like it will seal well if rubber connector has to seat inside the air box cover. What gives? Todd |
The rubber intake connector fits over the lip on the airbox cover, ya
gotta fiddle with it a bit to get it right. I usually do it up with some
sort of rubber dressing like STP to make it a little more slippery to
fit over the carbs, makes it look nice to boot. Note that it only goes
on one way, since one carb is closer than the other to the airbox.
