I have seen quite a few melted terminal blocks and I think that the
problem
has to be the pin type connectors loosening up and getting hot. I think
that
if you make sure you have a good solid connection you will be ok. I use
dielectric grease on all the connections to ensure good contact and
minimal
corrosion. I think it has helped.

Hello Ian, This "dielectric grease" sounds sensible...is that a generic
name or brand name...can you suggest who sells it....tube or spray
