Chris,
I have seen quite a few melted terminal blocks and I think that the problem
has to be the pin type connectors loosening up and getting hot. I think that
if you make sure you have a good solid connection you will be ok. I use
dielectric grease on all the connections to ensure good contact and minimal
corrosion. I think it has helped.

Right now, I don't have them on my bike...maybe I'll leave it like that cos everything seems to work fine without. I was considering putting in a starter relay, but will probably just leave it be...no probs yet (knock on wood). Chris in NC '74 Eldo civ. |
