Here's one that will make you all cringe.
I rode to the National last year (about 1500 miles) with the left one lose
enough to wiggle with my hand. No header to frame clamps either. The nut
never lossened any further and I didn't have any problems with blow by at
the header port or vibration. I guess the gasket goo I put in there did the
trick.
They are tight now though :-)....Ian
