As I recall, dealers were able to title the bike in the year sold regardless
of the build date, a V700 I had came to me as a '69 or '70 model. I think
Guzzi made running changes all through their years of bikes and you find
things that are on later models on some bikes - of course many owners have
done the same thing - one of the beauties of these mechanical creatures of
ours.
