Hi to all.
You know I started out using wire to pull up the tubes but, lo and behold,
the rear brake rod screws right into the darn thing! I was getting ready to
assemble the front one day and a friend of mine (also a hopeless
motorcyclist) observed that the brake rod sitting on my tool box looked
about right.
Sometimes you can't see the forest for the trees.
As for Steve's nut request I got mine from Guzzi. They are unique to that
bike as are the fork tubes, damper rods and axle spacer. It wouldn't hurt
to get correct springs and dampers either. I must say the disk took the
pucker factor way down on city ridin'.
Say hello to Steve for me. He'll remember me from Midway.

Hi, When I was installing my forks I screwed the fork plug into the fork and then threaded a 6mm bolt into the top of the fork plug. Around the 6mm bolt I wrapped a piece of wire and pulled up the forks. Seemed to work ok (wear gloves). Couldn't you weld a 6mm bolt on a rod and use my method instead of making a whole new fork plug? Just a thought....Ian -----Original Message----- From: David Washburn <davi-@idt.net> To: loopy <Loopfram-@topica.com> Date: January 11, 2001 8:38 PM Subject: Just nuts -------------------------------
