If I understand correctly, Steve is looking for the threaded plugs at the top
of the fork tube for a disk brake Eldo (which has the cartridge style dampers).

Around the 6mm bolt I wrapped a piece of wire and pulled up the forks. Seemed to work ok (wear gloves). Couldn't you weld a 6mm bolt on a rod and use my method instead of making a whole new fork plug?
