The name is Ted Walton and I live out west, Vancouver British Columbia Canada , and Hi to all you fellow Loopers!!I ride a Ambo 1970 , it's all stock and love riding it. The build date is Nov. 1969 Ser. # 14278. These numbers are stamped on a riveted tag on the steering head and stamped also on the engine case. Is this correct? Also how do you tell if it's a civilian from a police model? Thanks for all the input that you long time Guzzi owners provide for us newer Guzzi owners. it's very much appreciated. Ted |
the difference between a civilian versus Ploice model are
dash and speedometer are different

the police has a large side stand that attaches to the left front crash bar,
the crash bar is different as it has the stand mount.
the police frame will have a bracket welded to the left rear for a siren,
although many have been cut off.
the ignition key will be in the dash for the civilian and on the left under the
seat on a Police
the Police will have floorboards, and a 1 down 3 up shift pattern.
these are a few of the major differences
