Hi Rick,

Thanks for the info. You asked how many V700's I have listed. About 12 now.
I know that there are more out there but even if I only have counted 20% of
the bikes that still only makes 60 bikes total. Not a popular model by any
means. Total Loopframes I have recorded is about 60.

I deleted all the tranny lube threads.

I use Castrol GTX 20w50 in the engine....3 quarts.
Tranny and Rear drive both take gear lube. I have used 80w90 in the past and
when I was in Maryland changing my ujoint I put in 85w140. I think that I
will go back to the 80w90 though.

One person recommended using Bel Ray 80W90 hypoid/non foaming. If I can find
that I might use that.

Amounts are 750cc in the tranny and 170cc on the rear drive.

Sounds strange that you need to run the bike with a bit of choke on. The
little screws by the bowl are the mixture screws. Screwing out should richen
the mixture. The big screws should adjust the idle speed. Out for less idle
in for more. You should get your bike running nicely (once warmed up)
without any choke. I would look into that.

I know what you mean about it starting to look like a bike. I had the same
thought when I finally put the tank on my project bike. She is looking very
nice now.

Talk to you soon...Ian

 Hi Ian,
Actually I have started to email this too you a couple of times and
gotten side tracked. My engine serial number is 1842. I can't remember if
you have my city it is Crestview Fl. How many 67 V700's have you found so
far, I saw one up for auction on ebay that looked really nice awhile back.
Anyway I deleted an email talking about the Ttranny lube and transmission
lube weight, would you mind emailing it to me again. I have my eye on a
battery at Wal mart and plan on buying it Saturday and want to change the
lube in the drive tran along with the motor oil before that test run. I
got
my bike running pretty good but I have to run just a tad of choke, other
wise it is still a little lean. Well a littlee choke for a round the block
won't kill me. I put the fuel tank on it the other day actually looking
like a bike again, well chat with you later.

Rick
