Hi Michael,
Sounds kind of like fuel starvation. There are "filters" on the petcocks inside the tank and the round "filters" behind the fuel banjos on the carbs. Have you
checked both of these? Also, make sure the vent hole on the gas cap is not obstructed. Check the fuel for water or sediment. Hope this helps.
