Probably Lake Tahoma...if you were on 70 when you saw it it would be lake
James...if on 80, then it's Tahoma.
I'll check that road out sometime. Is it real gravelly or well maintained?
Most of the killer roads around here suffer from too many gravel
driveways.

Chris, nice to hear from you. I have a question about your part of
the country. I'm from Raleigh, and took Highway 80 from the
parkway down to Pleasant Gardens, where it intersects with 70.
On the way (nice road!), we passed a really pretty lake on the left,
with some nice houses built on it. What is it's name? My wife and
I are thinking of getting some land in the mountains, and this area
really caught my eye. Look forward to meeting you, maybe at the
National? Later,
