Subject: Best way to bring a Chrome Cylinder Engine out of long poor Storage

Is there a good way to get a older chrome cylinder guzzi engine back to
life?

I've heard the horror stories, but not good way to not damage the chrome on
an engine that has been sitting for years. Thanks
