To me, this sounds more like a clutch problem than a transmission
problem - perhaps your clutch input hub is notched? For whatever reason,

it seems like that problem shows up much more pronounced when things get

heated up. Do you know the condition/history of the input hub?

Thanks for the idea. No I have not taken the engine / treansmission out,
so I don't know it's condition.The clutch seems to release well even
when hot so that part is OK.
