I have a question. Does the bike idle too high for awhile, then slow
down til it dies, or does it immediately die?

Mine does the former sometimes. I am thinking its because my idle screws
are out of synch or possibly a small mainfold leak??

If it simply never idles high enough and your idle screws are all the
way in, I'd look at the clutch like others pointed our, or timing or
mixture or ???
